WHAT IS AN AYURVEDIC SEASONAL CLEANSE?
An Ayurvedic Cleanse is a detox where for 10 days:
- Eliminate gluten, dairy, sugar, alcohol, cafein, meat and packed foods
- Eat seasonal vegetables, fruits as well as grains and legumes
- Breakfast is warm-cooked-soft dishes like oatmeal (or other grains) porridge or stewed fruits or Ayurvedic crepes.
- Lunch is mainly Kitchary which is a combination of rice or quinoa or other grains, mung beans or lentils and vegetables cooked in spices and ghee. There are other alternative delicious and easy to make recipes, too.
- Dinners are most soups or soupy meals like vegetable stews
- Although snacking is not advised, I give healthy snacking alternatives
- Learn about how to use spices, their benefits and cooking techniques with seasonal masala mixes
- Recipes for seasonal teas, tonics and other tricks that help detoxification
- Apply Ayurvedic daily routine like oiling, meditation, journaling, yoga nidra meditation, etc
